Chapter 4: Materials: Metals & Non-Metals 

Here, the student will study non-metals and metals their chemical and physical properties & their reactions with water, oxygen, bases, and acids. Furthermore, the student will study displacement reactions, different uses of non-metals and metals.

Chapter 5: Coal & Petroleum

Chapter 5 talks about natural resources & their classification. This explains that natural gas, petroleum, & coal are fossil fuels that are created from dead remains of living organisms a long time ago. This explains how coke, coal gas, and coal tar are created from coal. Chapter five also explains petroleum refining and natural gas concept.

Chapter 13: Sound

Chapter 18: Pollution of Air & Water

This chapter begins by explaining what air pollution is & how air is polluted. More concept which is explained includes the greenhouse effect and ways of reducing air pollution.
